It\'s about 8.5\" tall and 7.5\" wide. There are small areas on top where the blue paint is missing (see close-up pic). I\'m sure it was that way from the factory. Hardly worth mentioning but I like to be thorough. Also worth mentioning is there is asecond battery compartment with no switch. Not sure why, but it\'s the same on some (not all) of the others I\'ve seen. I only have 2 batteries in the one with the switch and it lights fine. I purchased it from the original owner who used the original box as the shipping box. That\'s why it\'s a little beat up and has the tape and tears. I will ship everything in a larger box. It will come with fresh batteries installed. Pleasebe awarethat the cost of shipping includes the new shipping box I purchased at the UPS store for 5.80.
