Dark Blue American Historical Staffordshire cup plate depicting Battery Park.

Battery Park is located at the southern tip of Manhattan Island, facing the harbor. This transfer printed scene was manufactured by Enoch Wood & Sons, Burslem. The impressed mark on the back was used from 1818 - 1846. This piece would date circa 1820 - 1830.

The cup plate has excellent color and glaze and is in excellent condition, with only a few faint knife scratches. It measures 3 5/8\" diameter.

Nice piece for a collection of cup plates or American Historical Staffordshire.
