Dated 1915 Meiji Japanese Mixed Metal Sterling Silver Box w Bird - Signed You are offerding on a beautiful old 2 1/8\" tall x 5 3/4\" wide x 4\" deep Japanese sterling silver box with mixed metal on the top. The top features a bird sitting in a tree and then the decorations extend to all of the sides. The top of the box is signed in the lower right corner and the bottom of the box is also signed. Unfortunately the box has a couple condition issues: there is a dark tarnish line that goes over the top near the birds beak and continues down the front and back of the box that was perhaps caused by a rubber band. There is also a small dent on the front right corner of the lid and then two smaller dents on the back. The inside of the lid is inscribed, \"Presented by Major W.S. Nathan - Tokyo, December 20 1915.
