Conditionof record when viewed under a bright magnifying lamp: ex (n/m), 1-2 veryminor (very minor) hair line paper cuts (you have to look very close to seethem...) when viewed undera brightlight, no spindle marks/wear,nice and clean.

Sound,Audio: ex (n/m), plays and sounds superb with 1-2 very minor (very minor)crackles,no jumps or skips,great album.

Conditionof Outer Cover: very good, very light storage and edge (creases/cornerscuffs)wear,no splits or writing (biro), nice and clean.

Conditionof inner sleeve(s) etc...: record comes in an anti-static sleeve.

Conditionof any inserts/lyric sheets etc...: none.

Conditionof inside of gate fold: ex, very minor handling and storage wear, no splits orwriting (biro),nice and clean, has art work and notes.

I have added this note from the Record Collector (in black print) this is ONLY a guide; I have added my notes in red.

As in some cases this grading system doesn’t take into consideration any inserts, sleeves and inner sleeves etc…

i.e. if record is ex and sleeve only good etc…

In order to assist everyone who buys and sells rare discs, Record Collector magazine has originated a set of standards for the condition of second-hand records, cassettes and CDs. Anyone buying or selling records through the magazine must use our conditions to state what amount of wear and tear the disc, its sleeve and/or contents have been subject to. The seven standard condition categories, and a description of what each one means, are listed below:

MINT: The record itself is in brand new condition with no surface marks or deterioration in sound quality. The cover and any extra items such as the lyric sheet, booklet or poster are in perfect condition. Records advertised as Sealed or Un-played should be Mint.EXCELLENT: The record shows some signs of having been played, but there is very little lessening in sound quality. The cover and packaging might have slight wear and/or creasing.

Near Mint: Somewhere between Excellent & Very Good.

And some graded as Very Good++ & Very Good+.

VERY GOOD: The record has obviously been played many times, but displays no major deterioration in sound quality, despite noticeable surface marks and the occasional light scratch. Normal wear and tear on the cover or extra items, without any major defects, is acceptable.

GOOD: The record has been played so much that the sound quality has noticeably deteriorated, perhaps with some distortion and mild scratches. The cover and contents suffer from folding, scuffing of edges, spine splits, discoloration, etc.FAIR: The record is still just playable but has not been cared for properly and displays considerable surface noise; it may even jump.

(I will sometimes list a record that I think plays to a ‘fair’ standard, but not one that jumps or skips in any way).The cover and contents will be torn, stained and/or defaced.

POOR: The record will not play properly due to scratches, bad surface noise, etc. The cover and contents will be badly damaged or partly missing.

(Nothing I list will be like this unless it’s a very rare and hard to find item…)

Allrecords are cleaned using a ‘knosti’ record cleaning machine. The record (orrecords) you see in the photo (s) is the one in the listing and not a \'stock\'photo.
