Here is a nice antique Dedham Pottery Elephant pattern plate. In the catalog reprint it is called the \"No. 4 Plate, Bread and Butter Size\". It has good cobalt blue coloring, good even crackle and even has the baby elephant in the border design.  It was probably dropped at some time in it\'s life and has had professional restoration to a crack.  The paint appears to only be on the back as the crack is tight and not really visible on the face.  There is typical very minor roughness or flaking to the edge. It measures 6 1/4 inches in diameter.
