This one-of-a-kind ballgown is made from top quality eggplant color silk, white silk, and lace, adorned with ribbons. I purchased the dress at Abraham\'s Lady in Gettysburg, and added the lace and ribbons. The skirt waistband has a hook & eye closure at the back (see photo), and the bodice laces in the back, allowing a wide range of sizes to wear this dress. I would estimate from size 8 to 12. Length is good for 5\'4\"/5\'5\" in flats, give or take an inch or two depending on the length you want. Corset and hoop required. Quality materials, lined bodice, boning, beautiful workmanship. This dress feels fantastic and is incredible to wear! Perfect for dancing at a ball. However, it requires a second person to lace the back. There is a small area on the hem of the white silk section that needs a few stitches; they have loosened there (see photo). Also full disclosure: shortly after purchase, I had a dry cleaner clean this dress. That resulted in some purple color bleeding onto the white near them hem, creating light pink blotches. While they were not very noticeable, I covered the white section with a lace overlay, and the blotches cannot be seen. In another photo you can see one of the fabric flowers tacked on where the purple silk is \"pulled back\" from the white. These are easily removed or kept, as you please. I added the soft lace sleeves and tucker, lace insert overlay, and the ribbons; this dress is my pride and joy! So if you love it, it will love you back!NEW: Includes a CD of Home Front\'s civil war era music!
