Listing: This listing is for two (2) Warner Brothers Tweety and Sylvester comics, published by Dell, and being Number 17, issued for June-August 1957 and Number 29, issued for June-August 1960. Creation and Characters: Sylvester the cat was created by Friz Freleng in 1945, the cat\'s first words were \" Thufferin\' Thuccotash \", uttered over and over again throughout the cat\'s career, the cat\'s voice in the film cartoons was Mel Blanc\'s Daffy Duck voice not sped up. Sylvester was one of the most versatile charactors in Warner Bros. cartoons and was first paired with Tweety in a short cartoon entitled \" Tweetie Pie \", which won Warner Bros. animation its first Academy Award. (1)The first comicis Number 17, issued for June-August 1957. Condition: The condition of thecomic is VGood+,there is a slight roll to the spine and some stress marks, pages are cream/off white,see pictures (1-6)for alldetails. Advertisements: There is a Schwinn Bike (Mark II Jaguarmodel)Ad. on back cover. Stories: Stories in the comic include, Tweety and Sylvester in \" the Dutiful Deputy \", \" The Pat-A-Cake-Cat \", \" Curious Cat \", and \" Pie A La Tweety \", andLittle Pancho Vanilla in\" Pool Bool Fighter \". Also a short story entitled \" Say It With Flowers \". (2) The second comic is Number 29, issued for June-August 1960.

Condition: The condition of the comic is Good+/VeryGood, there is moderate roll to the spine and some stess marks, some minor wear on the front cover, pages are cream/off white, see pictures (7-12) for all details. Advertisements: There is a Schwinn Bike ( Continental, 10 speed model ) Ad. on the back cover. Stories: Stories in the comic include, Tweety and Sylvester in \" The Cured Cat \", \" Tripped Up \", \" A Word From The Bird \", \" Fooling the Feline \", and \" Temper Tantrum \", and Daffy Duck in \" Free Ride \", andBeep Beep The Road Runner in \" Turnabout Tooting \".There is also a short story entitled \" Pumpkin Pincher \".
