Authentic Models Demi Dome Model

Dimensions: 18\" x 9.75\" x 16\"

The Demi Dome is a half-dome model flat on one side to allow display against a wall. Hand crafted using fine grained hardwood. All Sides Finished and Detailed. Wood is Honey colored in a French Distressed Finish. Details are hand carved. Dome building is open with stair case. Size is 18.0 inches tall by 16.0 inches wide and 10.0 inches deep.

Architectural models were made by artisans showing off their skills. Highly collectible already in the 18th Century they were put to use as reliquaries or to show off a precious collection of artifacts such as shells coral or unique minerals. For centuries Architects have often made models to check details in 3D and to help customers understand the project.
