Here\'s Department 56, Snow Village, Red, White and Blue Mailbox.#5179-9. Handpainted Metal Snow Village Accessory. It was introduced in 1989 and retired in 1990. It was only available for a very short time because Dept. 56 did not get permission from USPS Postal Service to use the red/white/blue colors. They halted production of those colors and then made the mailbox in the red and green colors. It is brand new in thebox...never displayed. Only out of the box for pictures. It comes in the original styrofoam box and sleeve, which has some paper missing (see picture). The approximate dimensions of this item is: 2\" x 7/8\" x 7/8\". Everyone needs a mailbox for their village!!I\'ve had this mailbox since the mid 90\'s and has been stored in a tote ever since. Comes from a non-smoking home.
