Depression Era 30\'s, 40\'s Thunderbird Necklace *26 inches long * Thunderbird is 1 3/4\" long x 1 1/4\" * Santo Domingo *During the Depression materials were scarce and the artists had to use whatever they could find to make necklaces. These materials included bakelite shards, gypsum, plastic from combs, pails or restaurant utensils and crushed turquoise. Old phonograph records or car battery casings were used as the backing material. These necklaces were sold along the highway or at the railroad stops.
Excellent Condition ~ Comes from a clean, non-smoker home.
