I think this just might be my favourite release of the whole Cars 2013 toy year. And for all the wrong reasons.

NATURE DRIVE LIGHTNING MCQUEEN is one of the very newest McQueens on the latest carded series which combines new characters with old characters from BOTH movies and all together with a fresh, new look. What could be better than that? NATURE DRIVE LIGHTNING MCQUEENis a BRAND NEW VERSION of an existing character and the final character in the Lightning McQueens theme to be released last year by Mattel.
And what a version he is! Although, I think he was misnamed. Call of Nature Lightning McQueen might be a more accurate representation. It\'s just about as truthful as Sewage Treatment Lagoon McQueen but has a nicer ring to it. I mean, LOOK at him. Yes, you may call them plastic leaves and it\'s clearly a tribute to that part of the original Cars where he and Sally take a romantic drive down the winding road that leads to the abandoned Wheel Well Motel but, uh, I, uh, hmmm. Let\'s just say it looks like he was fished from the toilet bowl after being handed out as an underappreciated potty prize. And that is the reason I love him. He\'s dirty. He\'s covered in goo. And he has one of the lamest names ever. He makes Cactus McQueen look like a beauty pageant frontrunner.
Lightning McQueens theme NATURE DRIVE LIGHTNING MCQUEEN is 1:55 scale by Mattel. Diecast with plastic components. New, in package. Card is in generally good condition. Inside the package, NATURE DRIVE LIGHTNING MCQUEEN looks good. I mean, as good as you could expect considering his unfortunate circumstances*. He is nicely detailed, with extra dirt painted on the wheels, tar stuck on his lucky sticker and splattered across his roof. It\'s just these leaves that leave (ha ha) something to be desired.
