Exclusive to the Disney Theme Park Merchandising and in honour of the first anniversary of Cars Land at Disney\'s California Adventure, Mattel has unveiled these lovebirds as we\'ve never seen them before!

Introducing WEDDING DAY STANLEY & LIZZIE from the Cars TOON animated short, Tales from Radiator Springs TIME TRAVEL MATER. In this episode, Mater travels back in time to the wedding of LIZZIE and STANLEY, the founder of Radiator Springs. Here is the couple as they pose for photos outside the brand new courthouse, later honeymooning at the Comfy Caverns Motel. This is the very first time in Cars history that we\'ve seen STANLEY as anything other than a fire hall statue, and LIZZIE wearing anything but widow\'s black.

Made by Mattel in 2013. New, in package but the package is not pristine with details to follow. Both characters are 1:55 scale diecast. The package is in good condition with mild wear on the clear, plastic portions that allow viewing from the front, top and both sides BUT there are soft bottom corners at right and left in the cardboard base and a marked crease across the base of the box when viewed from below. (As in, you have to flip it on to its backside and stare at its bottom to see the crease.) As the fault line lays across the underside of the package, it still makes for fair in-box display. There is also a small bend in the cardboard corner in the curtains at top right but it\'s not as predominate as the crease across the underside. You\'ll see this in the tenth photo. (I have removed the price tag from this gift pack since the photographs were taken. If you were planning to give it as a gift, you can do so without worry.)

And it really is a nicely produced box: the cardboard courthouse feature at the back with assembled wedding guests is three-dimensional, rustically speaking. With this particular item, however, you have to consider the crease along the underside. It\'s not visible, but if you are highly particular and an on-card uppercase-C Collector, you may find it bothersome nonetheless.

Inside the package, WEDDING DAY STANLEY and WEDDING DAY LIZZIE are really great characters. Both are elaborate. WEDDING DAY STANLEY has white walls, gold trim, a toothy grin, and a pile of tin cans tied to his bedroll along with a Just Married sign at the rear. (Like we wouldn\'t have guessed that.) WEDDING DAY LIZZIE is in bridal white with a plasticized veil that reminds me of 1980s-style lacy plastic tablecloths, and holds a bouquet of pink posies. Both are in exceptionally good condition.

The closest I can muster for criticism is that WEDDING DAY LIZZIE has some dust on her hood and roof, near the veil, and that WEDDING DAY STANLEY appears to have some lint in and around the whites of his eyes and windshield. The silver trim along one side of that windshield is also very slightly uneven. He has a spot of black paint on the inside of one tire, too, and what appears to be an extra fragment of plastic attached to one headlight. Of this I am not certain, it may also be a feature on one headlight but not the other. I mention it nonetheless.

Please examine the photos supplied for more detail. As this is a single-quantity item listing, the ones provided have been taken of the actual item for purchase and none other.

Please bear in mind that it took me a long time to discern this list of so-called faults under crime-scene-investigator-type scrutiny. With it, it is not my intention to discredit the value of this gift pack; to the contrary, you can purchase it and rest assured you will receive carefully-considered and examined quality items. And they will stay that way in transport to you. I take equal care in preparing your items for shipment as I do in describing them. I\'m not squeezing this into a too-small kleenex box and kicking it all the way to the post office.All the items that I sell are lined in packaging material and placed into an appropriately-sized, sturdy shipping container that is designed to withstand the journey to you, whether it is 1500 km in distance or 6500 km.
