An elegant vintage sterling silver, marcasite and Iona marble brooch, fully hallmarked for Dublin 1967. In the shape of a traditional Celtic Penannular pin, with Celtic motifs, set with sparkly marcasites and two little round Iona marble cabochons. Iona marble is a lovely bright lime-green, giving a great contrast to the dark silver. The Dublin hallmark is for 1967 but is very tiny- hidden just underneath the hinge of the clasp. In excellent vintage condition with no wear or damage- it is intended to have a more tarnished look, but would probably be a little brighter if polished. Approx. 28mm across with a good safety clasp.
