Here\'s another very good Confederate lined \"I\" button found off Main Street in downtown Richmond Virginia. This button was found during the renovation of a warehouse made into loft apartments.
The button is complete with the hook althoughit isbent to the side. I believe this button was manufactured by SUPERIOR QUALITY however I can not see theback mark. As you can see the button shows a noticeable ding beside the letter \'I\". This was done with something pointed possibly a nail or sharp metal object. I can see some sign of the original gold gilt along the top and side. This can be seen in my darker pictures. The button looks a lot better in person than in the pictures. It comes in a Lucite case for display and safe arrival.
