Early American Pattern GlassAntique Victorian Style Jadite Jadeite Uranium Shaker Flour Cinnamon Sugar Salt
Gold gild frond beaded hobnail details in a stylized 3 paneled bulbous melon rib shape. Two panels have gilded leaves on a branch. One looks like it was decorated but it’s worn off. The panels are framed top and bottom with a row of tiny hobnail bead pattern. It looks like it was mold blown glass.
Lovely display item from an old OLD Yankee family estate dating their arrival to America’s shore to the 1620s! Thanks to another er, we found it is probably the \"Georgia Gem\" pattern made by Tarentum Glass Co., circa 1900.
By the large hole size on tinned top, it may have been a sugar or flour shaker. May have been a salt shaker, with a pepper shaker now lost or broken. We only know Granny used it for cinnamon sugar when we grandkids visited!
The top glass rim is chippy but worn pretty smooth on edges. The bottom has wear marks from use. The gilding is worn is spots. The tin top has some corrosion and discoloration. Perhaps it can be re-plated for use.
2 3/4” tall x 2 1/4” diameter overall

In 1884 Tarentum gained two pressed-glass makers; the Richards & Hartley Glass Company and the Challinor, Taylor & Co., Ltd.
