FROM TEXAS ESTATE ~ YOU ARE offerDING ON A BEAUTIFUL ANTIQUE SILVER TONE AS MARKED \"MESH WHITING & DAVIS\" EVENING BAG OR STROLLING LADY\'S PURSE. EARLY 1900\'S WHAT I HAVE ASCERTAINED. HAS A BLUE JEWEL CLOSURE WITH TIGHTLY WOVEN HERRINGBONE STRAP OF METAL MESHWORK. UNCERTAIN OF METAL CONTENT AS THERE IS NO MARKING SPECIFYING. STRAP HAS SLIDING PIECE. FRAME ITSELF HAS FINELY DECORATED FLORAL DESIGN. APPROXIMATELY 3.5\" WITH AN APPROXIMATE HEIGHT OF 13.75\" INCLUDING HANDLE AND BOTTOM TASSLE. APPROXIMATELY 9.5\" WITHOUT HANDLE LENGTH INCLUDING TASSEL. APPROXIMATELY 3.5\" AT WIDEST POINT OF MESH. Have gone over and over this fine piece. The mesh has some discoloration but structurally in remarkable condition. Clearly with its approx 100 year age has been used at some point. Strap has creasing from slide. Just incredible piece. Have used various lighting with various backgrounds to capture details. Please use zoom capability to examine closely.GOOD LUCK!
