Up for offer is a neat original late 18th to early 19th century iron American socket bayonet. I believe that this is a very early model 1795 bayonet. The bayonet has the bottom mount mortise and no blade fuller. The bayonet measures just under 18 inches in total length. The socket measures approx 2 7/8ths inches long. I can\'t find any markings on the bayonet although I\'m sure that it\'s American. The bayonet had a collection tag on it that said revolutionary war, but I\'m pretty sure this is an early production 1795 model bayonet. The bayonet is in very nice original condition exhibiting a very nice patina with some age oxidation, staining, and light pitting in areas.Guaranteed 100% authentic in every regard..99 CENTS TO START & !!
