This Native American sterlingsilver pendant shows a peyote bird or water bird in flight made with turquoise andcoral chip inlay. The incredibly talented designer Tommy Singer, Navajo, wasthe inventor of the chip inlay technique. Not only is this pendant createdwith a great example of turquoise and coral chip inlay, you can see TommySinger was a master silversmith as well!

Chip inlay isa method where cavities in jewelry are filled with a mixture of crushed stone,typically turquoise and coral, and epoxy resin. The piece is then polishedsmooth after the resin has hardened.

This is a pre-owned vintagependant. There are minor scratches fromtime and a bit of patina too! Please check out photographs!
