Up for sale with is an Amazing Mid Victorian Silver Plate Candelabra Epergne Centerpiece. The Epergne is the finest I have sold in a very long time and though unmarked, which a lot of Victorian Period English Silver Plate never was, the quality is certainly indicative of Elkington or one of the other Top Period Silver companies. The Epergne features great Cast and Pierced designs throughout, much nicer than my photos show and retains all the original parts including the screw in Candlestick portions, which are so often missing. The Epergne also still retains the original Glass top Bowl but it has several old repairs and is being included so if you chose to have replacements cut you could use it as a pattern. The Epergne is overall in very good all original condition with some wear to the Brass throughout, though polished up this actually looks like Gold Gilt and there is no breaks, cracks or repairs. Even all the Wax Cups or Bobeches are original. This is a very large and impressive piece for a grand table or sideboard measuring overall 20-1/2\" tall to the top of the Glass Bowl or 17\" tall at the top of the Silver Frame by 23-1/2\" wide across the Candle Arms or 9\" across the Base. This beauty is absolutely stunning in real life and I am sure the new owner will be most pleased ! I doubt you are going to find another like this up sale any time soon, especially with !!
