Original Playmates TMNT Escar Joe Concept Art Lot (4 Drawings) Four (4) drawings on three (3) pages of concept artwork for the vintage Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles toyline from Playmates. This is an amazing lot of concept art for Escar Joe. This figure would have been a snail who\'s shell could be removed and used as a scooter! They are all hand drawn original pencils on paper.

First piece is is an early concept full of notes, feature highlights, and titled \"Snail Man\". It was faxed to Playmates Toys with the header \"Ideas for 2nd batch of characters\".
The drawing is on the reverse of the first and features a quick sketch of a snail and what a snail scooter might look like!
The third piece is titled \"Escar Joe\" and is a more TMNT stylized drawing.
The fourth piece shows how the figure would ride the shell scooter and a possible flywheel mechanism that could be used.

Errol is now best known as the most prolific Masters of the Universe artist of all time. His artwork is featured on more licensed products than any other artist. He created much of the vintage cardback artwork that we all know and love. For 30 years, his name remained unknown to all He-Man fans around the world. In addition to working on Masters of The Universe, Errol did concept and packaging artwork for many toy lines including TMNT, Big Jim, Toy Story, and Hotwheels.There are over 300 individual pieces being offered from his TMNT portfolio. This artwork was done by Errol as a freelance artist who was a long-time friend of Mark Taylor who was then an executive at Playmates. Errol designed many of the character\'s toy designs that became part of the TMNT brand including Bebop, Rocksteady, Tom Sawyer, Krang, Baxter, the Technodrome, and the TMNT Blimp.It is with great pleasure that we are able to share these amazing pieces of art and priceless pieces of TMNT history.All pieces were obtained directly from Errol McCarthy and will come with a Letter of Authenticity from Emiliano Santalucia and Joshua Van Pelt.The image shown is an untouched scan of the actual item.
