Estate Antique Mid-20th Century Memory Stoneware Jug\". I am offering memory pot from a high-end Estate Sale. This is a charming and beautiful example of memory jugs from the early to mid-20th century. This memory jug is created on top of an Early20th Century pottery jug which the finish can be seen on the interior of the pot. The setting/holding agent used on this jug is a putty or grout which has aged through the years to a off-white putty color. The various embedded items float while at the same time have a sense of permanence.
The dimensions are 11 1/2\"tall x 8\" wide This is one of the rarer memory jugs that I have seen. it is signed; the signature for me unable in determining. The jug is covered in so many varied and sentimental objects perhaps of and about a particular person who died, or just to keep the memory of happy times alive. The objects consist of brass military buttons, varied buttons including a few beautiful assorted amethyst Brooches, a number of mother of pearl buttons, shards of amber glass, keys, metal Earring, Rhinestone Jewelry, rocks and varied unidentifiable objects along with a Victorian Cameos, two white bisque doll finger puppets, Twin Towers, several silver-color lions heads and of course the worn metal gold teaspoon which is embedded into the side of the pot yet projects above the pot. a pearl locket which opens, dimensionalretrieverdog, There is a pleather of rare and odd objects on this memory jug, impossible to name it all. there are many items on this Memory Jug that will bring you back in time. like a walk down memory lane.... it has lots of bling to it. the real beauty is when its viewed in person. it\'s absolutely\"OOAK.\" (one of a kind)
