For sale is antique/vintage HAVILAND & Co. Limoges chocolate and saucer set. Of course these could also be used to serve some after dinner coffee or tea. This set is part of the 23329 pattern (Schleiger 279). These are made of fine porcelain bone china. They have white glaze and are decorated with green and red geometric filigree scrolls around the rim. The rim edge and handle and bottom edge of the cup are trimmed in gold. This is an exquisite and delicate set. These are stamped on the bottom with the manufactures mark in green underglaze of \"Haviland France\". There is also a red decorators mark applied overglaze of \"Haviland & Co., Limoges\". These marks date these pieces to circa 1894 to 1931.The cup is approximately 2-3/4 inches tall, 2-3/8 inches in diameter across the top rim, and 1-1/2 inches across the footed base. The capacity is approximately 4 fluid ounces. The saucer is approximately 4-7/8 inches in diameter across the top rim. This vintage/antique set is in excellent used condition. The glaze is bright, shiny, and clean. The applied decorative decal is in excellent/mint condition with no noticeable loss or wear. The gold trim is in excellent condition with only a little, light wear to the gold trim on the cup handle. The saucer has a tiny glaze pop on the bottom near the rim edge. This occurred during manufacturing and is not a nick or chip. This is shown in the last photograph. Please see photographs.
