EXCELLENT CHINESE CARVED SPINACH NEPHRITE JADE PAIR OF RAMS ON HARDWOOD STANDS:

For sale is presented a nicely done pair of Chinese carved nephrite spinach jade rams on top of custom hardwood stands. These jade rams were produced in China sometime during the second half of the c1900s and are of nice quality workmanship that have been fitted onto corresponding wood stands of a deep reddish brown. The spinach jade color is of a mottled type with light and dark greens with a even polish giving them an appealing appearance. The details are quite good with the long swirling horns being the focal point with the faces, ears and little chin beards as well as the hoofs giving even more interest with the bodies being well proportioned. Each ram is fitted perfectly to its own stand that sit on four low shaped style feet with an attractive key design around the top side edge and the pair are mirror images which can be seen when they are facing each other as in photo #1. Condition of both and stands are perfect with no chips, cracks, losses or repairs.
