Very rare needlepoint sampler! Dated 1876. Wonderful ONE OF A KIND piece of American patriotism and history! Amazing detail with the motto: \"In Honor Shall Wave\". Has an interested printed portrait of George Washington with hand worked Flags. The bottom and sides have the tradition foliage with acorns. In wonderful antique condition. Has some discoloring on the punch paper. Has original glass and the original Eastlake style frame. The frame shows age and use. Has some scratches and nicks. It is missing the bottom 2 pieces that the top corner have. The upper left has a piece missing. Normally none survive on frames like this. Frame is still decent and does not need replacing. The color of the threads are still pretty vibrant! The back of the item show some wear/age to the paper, but is ready to hang. Please view images carefully. Measures approx. 23\" across the center and the top and bottom across is approx. 25.5\". Just shy of 10.5\" in width. This is a rare piece. I have seem MANY needlepoint and embroidered pieces.
