Hello, thank you for having a look at our sales! We have had a long summer break but as you can see we were not relaxing all summer! We have been acquiring a large amount of great and fresh to market estate treasures. This sale consists of many fine and rarely seen examples from prominent estates mainly in Toronto and Montreal. Many of the pieces listed are from one prominent Chinese-decent Toronto estate. The pieces were both family heirlooms and also purchased in mainland China prior to the family moving to Toronto around 50 years ago. Many of the pieces I do not know a great deal about. I am sure there are many fine treasures to discover in this week’s sale! Surely one of our finest sales we have held in several years!

Up for sale is a very fine antique Chinese carved hardwood table-form display stand. This stand is a very unique and very fine example. The stand is from a prominent local estate collection where is has been for several decades. I believe this stand would be 100 years old, if not older. The stand is carved of a dense hardwood with superbly carved features as seen. What else is so astonishing about the stand is the top portion of the stand is carved of one piece of wood. You can see by the inside base the find old hand chisel tooling. I am sure it would have taken great skill to have achieved this. The stand shows some minor wear consistent with antique age and is overall in fine condition with no missing pieces as seen. The stand measures 3 inches long, by 2 1/2 inches wide and sits 4 1/8 inches tall. Definitely one of the finer stands I have ever offered.
