An absolutely scarce and rare Imperial Austrian c1900 turn of the century and Edwardian era gem set cufflinks in 18 karat yellow gold and platinum settings. The pair was crafted by Hartung - one of the best Imperial Austrian jewelers, jewelry provider and jeweler to the Royal Palace and the Austrian Emperor. The four magnificent and intricately crafted from pierced platinum cuffs have a 4-leaf like clover design of miniature channel set borders of numerous number of natural blue sapphires surrounding a round old European brilliant cut diamond center. Each diamond center is claw set into a square setting, whereas each diamond has a diameter of approximately 2.5mm. Total estimated diamond weight for all four cuffs is in the 0.15 carats range. The diamonds are extremely sparkling and alive with an estimated average VS1 clarity and G-H white color ranges. Diameter of each circular cufflink is 13.5mm and they are attached to its matching pair by a clasp.
