Up for your consideration is anabsolutely, gorgeous, silver plated, Jewelry Box with Cherubs manufactured byMeriden Britannia in the late 1800’s. The piece is in PRISTINE ESTATECONDITION with no repairs, flaking, orsilver wear to note. The piece measures 3.25 inches high and 7 inches long x4.50 inches wide. The four corners are ornately decorated with the heads oflovely winged cherubs set in an elaborate design that continues onto the scrollwork at the bottom edge. The shape of the jewelry box is magnificent in formgiving depth to the piece. The inside is clean with no silver wear as is theoutside. The hallmark notes it is, “Quadruple Plate” a term the company did notuse after 1896. A superb piece not oftenfound in this excellent condition and one that will be certain to please itsnew owner.
