Up for sale with is an extremely rare George II London Sterling Silver Tea Caddy Jar or Box. The Tea Caddy Jar isone of the earliest I have ever sold and I am sure are an extremely Rare find. The Jar issuperbly and completely Hand Made with nice signs of Hand Hammering inside. The Jar isalso of a great Period design and really shows it\'squality with extra thick reinforced base and a veryfinely made finial. The Tea Caddy Jar also features a very nice Hand Etched Period Family Armorial Crest which is well worth looking into as I am sure this from an important service, not just anyone could afford an extreme luxury suchas this. The Jar isfully Hallmarked for the fine Period Silversmith John Newton of London, Sterling Silver and the Date Letter for 1728. The Tea Caddy Box isin truly amazing condition for the age with minor signs of use and age but no dents, cracks or repairs, mostly becauseit issuch thick gauge Sterling Silver throughout. The Tea Caddy isalso a nice early Georgian Period size measuring5-3/8 inches tall by3-1/2 inches wide by2-3/8 inches thick. The Jar hasa very nice quality weight of221 grams and you can really feel the quality in your hands. I doubt you will find another like this up for sale anytime soon, especially sellingwithout reserve !
