This is an amazing early textile with a very unusual album applique flower that I haven\'t ever seen before.

c 1850s

The flowers face each other which is also rare to find design plan.

The hand quilting is so fine with 18-20 stitches per inch. Narrow rows and framed with vining hearts.

Each corner has double hearts which is also different to see.

Flowers are red and green. Well appliqued with fine hand stitching.

Measures a generous 94 x 85 inches. A large impressive size.

The binding is hand sewn. Hand pieced. Inner border has double rows in red and green too.

Crisp, never used or washed.

There is age scattered age spotting tanning on front and back.

A special hard to fine collector\'s quilt and pattern!

Found along the Maryland Pennsylvania border from estate.
