***Antique Simplex Time Recorder / Time Clock***
This Time Recorder was manufactured by the Simplex TimeRecorder Co. in Gardner, Massachusetts. This is one of their earlier vintage models that was manufacturedsometime around 1918. The case is solid oakstanding 31” high by 14” wide by 8” deep.It weighs a total of 33lbs.
The finish is in fairto good condition with some fading and a few nicks, scratches, and blemishes. The front latch is functional however theoriginal lock that worked together with the latch is missing. The face and hands are in good condition withsome minor signs of wear. The glass onthe front is the original.
The movementworks for about 10 minutes then stops. Ibelieve the problem is it may have the wrong suspension spring installed. It is also missing the device that recordsthe time on the time card. The springsare solid, crank tight, and it still has the original winding key and bracketthat secures it.
