For consideration is this early 1900s sterlingsilver and jade green enamel compact and mirror. It measures 2 1/8 inches indiameter, 3/8 inch tall and the center features a sterling silver cut outbasket or urn of flowers. The edge features a fan shape garland punctuated withlines of dots above and below the fans. The back of the compact is engraved inthe guilloche style and the mirror looks to be in very good condition with noage spots noted. The compact is marked on the inside with the number “564”,“Made in Austria” and “Sterling Silver”. There is also a maker’s mark “AK” andI believe the silver mark “980”. The enamel has light scratches undermagnification and not seen with the naked eye. This has a screen or filterinside but no powder product. There is a slight dent on the edge (see photo).It has not been polished and the patina is natural. It is a beautiful antiquecompact. Buyer will receive FREE First Class shipping.
