Inspired by the Fourth of July, tonights sales have been chosen to represent all the very BEST of us. I have always been drawn to the unique, handmade, charming, down home items...so tonight I am offering up examples of what makes America...well....America! All of tonights items are survivors, strongly individual, charmingly quirky pieces of our past. A very wise friend reminded me of the simple beauty of seeing a small child waving our Flag......so after the parades, hotdogs and fireworks...please take a peek at some of my items above as I have tried to capture just a small piece of us. This sale offers a charming and handsome early papier mache and composition boy doll. This fellow has a white ( slightly dingy) curly mohair wig, blue fixed eyes, cloth bocy with button boots and a black and white checked wool suit. Eyelet blouse. Selling exactly as found at recent estate. I am not certain if these are his original clothes but certainly he has had them quite some time. Has had some face paint touch ups over time, see photos. Suit has some moth bites and repairs. He has a crack and repair on side of head by eye, see photos. Also some cracks in breast plate. Head appear papier mache and hard stuffed cloth body with compo legs and arms. Measures 16\". Just neat! . I am always happy to combine shipping and if you can please check out my other listings.
