For your consideration is an old, wood, Pantry Box with original lid and bail handle. Beautiful patina. The piece is a rare size.....measuring5 -1/2\" tall (bail handle adds approximately 5 -3/4\" to the height), base of the box is approximately 10-3/4\" in diameter, and the lid is approximately 11\" in diameter. Box is constructed with wood pegs and nails. Due to age and use there are some imperfections which add wonderful character to the piece. The wood shows some surface wear, age splits, scratches, nicks, and some discoloration here and there. The lid is missing several of the wood pegs so the band fits loose and there is a split that goes all the way through and across the lid. The bottom of the box also has a split that goes all the way through and across. The splits really don\'t effect the integrity of the pantry box. The metal bail handle is crooked and metal parts have some rust.
This is a beautiful pantry box that displays very nicely! I love the low profile yet large diameter around.
