This is a large, folio-size, book of bound Harper\'s Weekly Magazines from mid 1862 to the Spring of 1863. Civil War coverage is uppermost, with period advertisements and articles. The book is in reasonably good condition for these large and heavy Harper\'s volumes, which are prone to cover issues. This one in fact has a detached back cover. The front is still attached, and the binding is strong. The photos show obvious bumping and some spine fraying (but intact).
Typical foxing inside mostly toward the front few issues. See photos.All in all, however, the interior is very good, with no tears or marks. Terrific illustrations and coverage of the U.S. Civil War conflict heading toward its peak.
