An incredibly rare miniature salt pail circa 1720
This is an important piece for the astute collector with additional(later) duty mark for small articles to back of barrel.

A highly regarded and important miniaturist, Frederik van Strant I is listed as active 1706 - 1727 and is recorded as having crafted a large number of miniature silver items(Houart, Miniature Silver Toys). Strant is referenced in numerous respected reference books with his work appearing as legendary.
This piece is in the form of a miniature salt pail and stands 1\" high and weighs 6.3gms and I cannot stress enough its importance as a miniature article some three hundred years old by coveted maker.
With sale records reaching in the thousands of dollars and usually price on application if sourced in store, this is a unique opportunity to own a piece of Van Strant.
