This listing is for a large all original period signed John Pearson etched and hammered copper tray.This piece is significant as it was produced by the hand of PearsonPrior to his leaving the Guild of Handcraft the Guild in 1892The Guild of Handcraft was founded byCharles Ashbee and John Pearson along with John Williams In 1888Early signed Pearson pieces rarelycome up for sale.This copper tray is unique as it employs both etching and hammering.I believe the patina is original and untouched from 1891It is signed J Pearson 1891 and bears the number 435.Measurements are 20 5/8\" L x 16\"WThe patina does show some irregularities as expected considering the age of the piece.Please email with any questions prior to offerding.
