Early Victorian Cape Black Silk Changeable Silk Lining Fancy Lace Neck 1870s Beautiful early Victorian black silk damask short cape with amazing changeable purple and bronze floral silk damask lining. The neck closes with a hook, and it has a double layer of 4\" long black re-embroidered net lace and a row of silk ruching. Its almost mint, the only flaw is the lining is slightly faded in one area as shown( its hard to see).
The antique cape measures 20\" long from the neck and is fairly voluminous.
The neck measures a little over 23\" so is quite small, but the hooks could be moved or a tab added to fit a modern gal.
I have rarely found one of these in silk with all the intricacies in this kind of condition, so if you\'ve been looking for one, don\'t hesitate!
