~ Early Victorian No.2 Royal Navy Mess Plate ~This blue transfer on white china plate is decorated with a border depicting naval scenes with Queen Victoria’s \'young\' head separating them.At the centre is the Royal Queens crown with a “No.2” below and “Mess” above.The reverse is unstamped though these are normally by Bovey Tacey.~ Dimensions ~The plate has a diameter of 9.5 inches (24.1 cm) & a height of 1 inches (62.5 cm). It weighs 457 g.~ Condition ~There are a few very minor nibbles to the edges. It is free from cracks. The plate remains in good condition The transfer has three white streaks of loss under the glaze in the 7 o\'clock position, this is not surface damage.Please see further images below for detail and condition...
