This is a very RARE, early 1919 (98 years old) vintage, very attractive & very unique tin, graphic Ambulance Van with driver toy.(This toy was designed earlier by the A.C. Gilbert Co., making Gil-Motor Toys, Kelmet toys & the famous Erector Sets.)This is a cool windup toy with release lever that works very well. It even has a bell underneath, when bumps are hit on the road.Lindstrom advertised that one windup can project this vehicle for over 100 feet !! How cool is that for a kid in 1919 ?It has a hand crank in the front to wind it up, as many real vehicles still had them....Remember that 1919 was in the WW1 era and this Ambulance has patriotic red, white & blue coloring...This toy displays beautifully with it age patina and minor wear. (There is a minor crease / ding in the roof.)
This unique Ambulance toy is Approx. 8\"Long x 4\" Wide x 6\" High
