Here\'s an early vintage fixed lug solid 14k gold LeCoultre bumper automatic from 1948! This is the calibre 481 automatic, introduced in 1948, which evolved from the first JLC automatic, the calibre 476 bumper automatic, introduced in 1946. This movement was chronometer certified in 1958. Here\'s the details: LeCOULTRE (14k Bumper Automatic) - 33x40mm signed LeCoultre 14k gold single piece case (# 14892, 37326, 6087), signed (LeCoultre, VXN) 17 jewel calibre 481 bumper automatic movement (#6388xx), excellent signed LeCoultre black dial with luminous arabic numerals, inner minutes/seconds chapter ring, white leaf hands and red sweep seconds,16mm single piece black nylon strap. The signed 17 jewel calibre 481 bumper automatic movement is clean, running fine, and keeping accurate time. The signed matte black dial appears original, but may be in too fine a condition to not have been refinished. The LeCoultre-signed solid 14k gold single piece case is in good condition, and features fixed lugs (16mm lug width).
