An amazing early pattern with trees or possibly Peony tulip flowers framed with diamonds.

I love the shape of the pieced trees, very full in solid red, overdye green and solid cheddar. Stems and leaves are stuffed.

Pretty quilted hearts leads me to believe this was made as a wedding gift.

Measures 82 x 78 inches

Hand quilted 8 stitches per inch.

Thin batting. Applique work is hand sewn. Hand pieced. Hand bound.

Some age spotting and light color lift, binding has worn, turkey red print in the framing has bites to the accents. This is typical to see with the early mordant dyes.
