Antique Edward H. Bohlin made money clip .

Beautiful Sterling Silver, made specifically for a particular client by the Bohlin custom shop. This was not a catalogue item, and goes back to 1951-1953 time period.

This clip has a pennant and is engraved SCGA ( Southern California Golf Association) Interclass Team Champion 1951, with fading engraving below of 1953.

This was really the time period that Golf was getting going from an elitist sport to a mainstream sport , although membership to country clubs was limited to those who were financially and socially accepted, guests were certainly welcome to play with a member.

The \"old Bohlin stamp\" is on this money clip. It is obvious this money clip was was loved, cherished, and used.

There is also worn engraving on the back with the name \" MAX BOMERS\".

This appears to have been added later as it is in a block style , although it may simply be worn. I am unable to confirm that as the Bohlin shop has not responded to requests for Information, although I am sure there is a record of this custom piece.

As with any antique, this has NOT been cleaned. Winning buyer may have it sent to the Bohlin Shop for restoration and Provenance.
