This antique Edwardian era purple silk embroidered fringe tassel trim piano shawl cloak cape dates from 1905. It is made of a purple silk fabric, with purple raised padded satin stitch hand embroidery work flowers and vine leaf designs. This pretty purple shawl style cloak cape is a short mid length, with hand knotted purple silk fringe edging, a fold over lapel shawl collar, an open front with no closure, purple rope roundel medallion tassel trimmings on the back and is unlined. The cape measures 27 inches long in the back and is 60 inches wide. It is in good as-is condition, with a few tiny pin holes, a small mended repair on the back neck seam and fade discoloration color dye bleeding in areas. This is truly a rare purple color and wonderful piece of suffragette wearable art!
