So cool to have this antique parlor maid or house maid\'s uniform with the original apron! Not too many of these would have survived.
All cotton, the dress is coal black shiny polished cotton with authentic dotted Swiss collar, cuffs and apron. Lots of hooks and eyes close it at the back.
The dotted Swiss has yellowed and is soiled on the dress high collar and cuffs. The apron is not as soiled. It has a very small hole. The collar doesn\'t go all the way around- it was pinned when I got it. The cuffs are worn and I\'m guessing they were meant to be replaced, as well as the collar, when needed, since they are sort of basted on.
Dropped waist pleated skirt has a narrow band that has frayed as you can see in the one photo. The dress has princess seams front and back coming from the shoulder down to the dropped waist.
Dress measures 48\" from center front to hem. Probably ankle length.Waist is about 28\" approximately. If measurements are important, please ask and I will do my best. I don\'t recommend wearing 100 year old clothing.
There are some thins and very small holes on either side of the front from pinning on the apron over and over. This displays well.
