Presented is a lovely vintage silver lipstick holder. This is an Italian made piece, but unfortunately we do not know the maker. The lipstick holder is beautifully hand engraved with a floral scrollwork design. The engraving is very well done with great attention to detail. The lipstick holder has a thumbpiece set with an oval cabochon of lapis lazuli. When the case is opened a little mirror pops up, very useful for applying lipstick. When the mirror is open, you can see the name Sarah engraved beneath in script.This piece is in excellent condition. The details of the engraving are nice and crisp. The mirror is in good overall shape, though it does have some spotting here and there. There are no chips and no cracks in the mirror. The hinge is in good shape and the mirror opens smoothly. There are no breaks, no monogram removals, and no repairs. This piece is stamped and guaranteed 800 purity silver, as well as an Italian government registered maker\'s mark which we unfortunately do not recognize.The lipstick holder is about 2 ¼ inches long.The lipstick holder weighs 43.6 grams.-jm
