Elegantly designed vintage Italian Tole Gilded Leaf Sconce with gorgeous pastel hues of porcelain roses and rose buds ~ the roses are detailed with small petal folds and attached quite well to the gilded metal ~ the roses are the softest pinks, pale yellows, and whites with very light green outer leaves at base ~ the metal has a wonderful slightly crusted patina from age or time and there is a great reddish tone of oxidation in the color peeking through the gilt ~ there are no broken or missing petals ~ three of the porcelain roses/buds appear to be missing but it is hardly noticeable because there are a total of 16 present and accounted for ~ there are two (total) candle holders draped from each curvy arm ~ measures approximately 23 inches wide by 20 inches tall by 12 inches deep ~ each candle holder has an old waxed covered electrical candle cover into which a bulb inserts for lighting ~ the cord is new and a roll on/off switch controls the lighting ~ there is a rounded hook on the back for safely hanging.
So Glamorous and chic with pale pink and aqua blue pastels ~ adds a touch of elegance over any sofa or sideboard ~ These great sconces are becoming more and more difficult to find ~ I have a matching sconce which is the same size only it has not been electrified for sale on my Montiques website.
