This is an Elgin World War II timer. It winds. Pushing the crown once starts the timer. Pushing it a second time stops it. Pushing it a third time resets the timer. However, the timer resets to 58 seconds and not 0 seconds. The crystal (or plastic) won\'t stay in. After winding the crown I can hear the timer click and see the movement move. View photos.
