Elgin 18s 7j 1918 model 5 Nickel case keeps great time. Open face pocket watch serial number 20485908. This antique time piece has been professionally restored by Lighthearted Concepts Co. The entire case has been disassembled, cleaned and de-scratched to the best possible condition without removing too much material to take away from the antique valueand polished to a beautiful high shine. The movement has been cleaned andthe plates also polished. there are 2 visible hairlines on the dial which have also been reduced to a minimal visibility. The glass crystal was badly scratched but it has been re-polished to a high luster shine. The polished scratches now do not interfere with looking at the dial and can only be seen if you reflect a bright light. This is a large, thick and heavy time piece and feels really good in your hand. What a wonderful piece of vintage art, not to be found in this beautifully restored condition!!
