Impressionist Landscape Sunset

One of a number of quality landscape paintings by this artist currently held by Belvoir Fine Art, some of which were exhibited at The Royal Glasgow Institute of Fine Arts and also The Royal Academy. Originally discovered at an sale in East Sussex, these paintings were hidden from public view for decades being held by a local furniture dealer after the artist\'s death.

Elsie March was a member of The Royal Society of British Artists. She was best known as a sculptor and one of eight artists in her family. After the death of her brother Vernon March, she and her brothers completed the National War Memorial of Canada in Ottawa, Ontario.

Age- Earlier 20th Century

Medium- Watercolours on paper.

Size- 12 by 10 inches approx including frame.

Condition- Generally good and ready to hang. Light paper browning and a few foxing spots visible.

Frame- Unglazed wooden frame offered free with the painting.

Signature- Lower right with initials.
