ELVIS PRESLEY - “ELVIS’ GOLD RECORDS, VOLUME 2” (LPM-2075), A FIRST PRESSING FROM 1959. RECORD: VG+ with plenty oforiginal gloss. However, there are several light surface scratches & scuffs on both sides, none of which can be felt with the fingertip. I did test-play this record and the sound was fantastic! Just a few light \"ticks\" were noticed, but nothing to over-ride the listening enjoyment. This is the earliest pressing of this title with the“Long Play” labels, which do show some spindle marks about the spindle hole. The labels are without any writing or stickers. The matrix numbers on this Indianapolis pressing end with 1S/1S.COVER: VGwith an upper seam split of approximately 4 inches (see photo) as well as some additional edge & corner wear. Ring wear is present on both sides, primarily the back side. Old sticker residue is seen to the upper right corner on the front. This cover is very desirable among collectors due to its short lifespan of just a few months. Later copies have the catalog number (LPM-2075) re-positioned to the lower left corner. Jerry Osborne, in his \"Presleyana VII\" shows this album with a value of $350 in Near Mint. Of course, my \"Buy It Now\" price is much less than that amount.INNER SLEEVE:The original RCA Victorsleeve from the era, showing the company\'s latest releases, including \"A Date With Elvis\".
